Ikki Tousen: Shuugaku Toushi Keppuuroku - Ryomou Shimei - R-Line - 1/7 - Swimsuit ver Figurine Review

It's been a while! Today we take a look at Griffon's new Ryomou Shimei figurine.

This figurine is based on official artwork from Ikki Tousen Great Guardians. Griffon has recently released the Kanu figurine as well. As you can see, Ryomou and Kanu are standing in the illustration but are on their knees in the figurine versions. Perhaps it was easier or cheaper to make them this way?

Griffon have been accused of making lifeless faces. I don't think they did a bad job with this one. Ryomou generally wears a rather calm and aloof expression which I think they managed to nail here.

The sculpting and painting is great with no major blemishes to speak of, though, if you look closely at Ryomou's feet, you will see that her big toe is smaller than her second one. You won't notice it unless you're looking for it but it is a strange mistake to make.

For a 1/7 scale figurine, this does look a little small but since she's not standing upright, it might just be an illusion. Overall, it's worth adding to your collection if you're an Ikki Tousen fan and is one of the better Ryomou figurines. It won't break the bank either.
